Shadows and Story with Christopher-David Berry & Fujifilm
Presented by Kenmore Camera's Digital Photo Expo and Fujifilm
November 7th - 9th, 2025
In-Store Class: In this class, we will begin to explore lighting for shadows in a studio setting. Shadows will help add visual interest and emotion to your images, be they color or black-and-white. Shadows add depth and character to any image.
Shooting Portion: Bring your camera for the second portion of the class, where we will move outside into the environment and craft a short story based on our character (model). We will discover how they will fit into the environment. We will pay attention to the shadows ON our subject and the shadows our subject may create as they move through the environment. The shadows will begin to have their own place within our subject’s story. This will also be an exercise in finding the shadows and story while being decisive and confident when crafting a set of images.I’m excited to explore story, emotion and lighting for shadows and emotion with everyone!”
Andrea Ledesm from Westcott will be along to create additional light where and when needed.
