Join us for a night on the town on February 26 in SF's Mid Market Arts District for a gala performance of SFYT's world premiere production of Mark Twain's The Mysterious Stranger. Enjoy a pre-show wine and bites reception, a fabulous show, and a post-show champagne dessert meet and greet.
Our gala performance hopes to raise $20,000 to sponsor programs for the 1200 students from ages 2-24 we serve annually– from classes in SFUSD schools, to Baby Theatre, Queer Drama, Teatro en español, and SFYT’s DREAM Ensemble–emerging actors 14-24 years old you will see performing The Mysterious Stranger.

Back in 1590s Austria, three teenagers encounter a Stranger from the future who shines a light on the moral hypocrisy of their village's gossip, greed, and witch hunts. Using live original music, puppetry, illusion, and Twain’s trademark humor, the Stranger challenges us to find our own moral compass in a world rife with hypocrisy. Based on Twain's final unfinished novella, it's a story as true today as ever!
