This major exhibition brings together ten sculptures by celebrated British artist Sean Henry within the striking Saïd Business School in Oxford. Created between 2001 and 2024, these figurative works are installed throughout the School’s lobby and Romanesque corridors, culminating in the monumental Seated Figure – a three-metre-high bronze that looks out onto the city from the School’s public courtyard.

The exhibition invites visitors to reflect on themes of identity, perception, and connection. Henry’s polychrome sculptures, painted in naturalistic tones, feel at once familiar and enigmatic. Through their scale, posture, and expression, they prompt questions about who we are, how we see others, and how art can reframe our sense of self within public space.

To mark the opening of Who Am I?, we invite you to join us for an evening launch event featuring a talk by Sean Henry, followed by refreshments and a guided walking tour of the exhibition. This is a rare opportunity to hear directly from the artist and experience the works up close within the School’s unique architectural setting.

As Sean Henry explains, 'I’m interested in ideas around identity – about how we perceive each other and ourselves in relation to others.' His approach to scale and anonymity encourages imagination and introspection, offering a powerful encounter between art, architecture, and audience.

Who Am I? is part of the Art@Saïd programme, which brings world-class art to Saïd Business School to inspire dialogue and new perspectives.

Free entry. All are welcome.
