SB Sheriff's INITIAL CCW 16 Hour Two Day Course 01/04 & 01/05 8am-5pm

The rules have changed! ALL NEW CCW APPLICANTS ARE REQUIRED TO ATTEND A 16 HOUR IN-

PERSON CLASS WHICH INCLUDES A WRITTEN TEST AND A RANGE QUALIFICATION WITH EACH

FIREARM.

California CCW Range Class and Range Qualification for the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department are conducted regularly at Apple Valley Gun Club.

If you have received notice from the Sheriff’s Dept that your background investigation has been completed, schedule your Class and Range Date at Apple Valley Gun. You MUST pre-register here on Eventbrite.

Walk-ins are NOT allowed. There is no discount for AVGC Members

WHEN YOU ARRIVE – ATTITUDE IS EVERYTHING!

1. Follow the instructions in the email that you will receive the day before your class.

2. Proceed directly to the designated classroom to sign in.

3. LEAVE ALL FIREARMS AND AMMUNITION SECURECD IN YOUR VEHICLE. DO NOT BRING THEM INTO THE CLASSROOM!

4. DO NOT COME ONTO AVGC PROPERTY WITH A LOADED FIREARM!

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING:

• Your notice from the Sheriff’s Dept of your background clearance.
• A written list of your firearm(s) including Make, Model, Caliber & Serial number for each gun you will be putting on your CCW Permit.
• The FIREARM (S) that you are putting on your permit.
• 2 empty magazines or speed loaders for each gun.
• Belt and carry device, (Holster, purse, fanny pack, etc), that you intend to use.
• A minimum of 30 rounds of ammunition for each gun (must be factory new, no re-loads or steel core).
• Eye & Ear Protection - Electronic Ear Pro preferred.
• Transport and arrive with your unloaded firearm(s) in a LOCKED CASE (soft or hard sided).
• Closed-toe shoes, crew-neck shirt and baseball cap are highly recommended.
• Water, coffee and donuts are complimentary. Snacks are available for $1.00. BRING YOUR LUNCH, as restaurants are some distance from the range.

DO NOT come on AVGC property with a loaded FIREARM.

Anyone who does not follow the Range Safety Rules will be removed from the class.
