Saxmundham Christmas Fayre 2026

The historical market town of Saxmundham hosts a spectacular annual Chrismtas Fayre! Visitors come from all over the region to visit our buslting street market, artisan craft market and enjoy festive activities and performances.

This is the busiest event in our calendar and footfall is high! Take part in our craft or street market where shoppers buy Christmas gifts, browse for treats and tuck into delicious street food.

This booking form is for traders and stall-holders to secure their space for Saxmundham's Christmas Fayre*.

The road is closed for this event stall are available at indoor or outdoor venues.

Outdoor stalls are placed in the High Street and Market Square. Pitch size is strictly 3x3m. If your set-up is larger than this please book multiple spaces.. Electricity is not available so this event is suitable for off-grid stalls or those with generators. Battery lighting is recommended for your gazebo.

Indoor stalls are in the Market Hall. A 1.8m table will be available to you. If you would prefer to bring your own, please let us know. Electricity is available in this location, though please bring along your own PAT compliant extension cable.

If you'd prefer a specific location at the market, please communicate this with the team. We will do our best to accommodate any requests but be aware that this is not always possible. You will receive an email in the weeks ahead of the event to confirm full details, including where you will be. Thank you for your flexibility.

In order to confirm your booking you must book via Eventbrite & also send over required documents: completed booking form and proof of public liability insurance. These will be sent to you via email following your Eventbrite booking. Until all paperwork is recieved we cannot confirm your booking, so please get this back to us as soon as you can.

*Visitors enter free of charge on the day and there is no need to book.

Parking:

We have arranged free parking for stallholders at various locations across town, provided by local businesses and organisations. This ensures you don’t have to pay for parking during the event, and helps keep public car parks free for visitors, which is one of the Fayre’s biggest challenges.

Parking may be a short walk from the venue. Stallholders are asked to unload, park, and then return to set up their stall. If this presents any difficulties, please contact us in advance.

If you do not need a reserved parking space, please let us know so it can be offered to another trader. Unless otherwise arranged, parking is limited to one space per booking. Please avoid using public car parks during the event—more free spaces mean more visitors and more customers for you!

Refund policy:

If you cannot attend the event you have booked, refunds are offered at the discretion of Saxmundham Town Council, no later than 6 weeks before the event. Alternatively, we may offer to move your booking to another date.

Additional Information:

• Please note that if the event needs to be cancelled due to poor weather, we may not be able to offer you a refund so bookings are made at your own risk.
• If you are a charity, community group, or Saxmundham High Street business wishing to take part in the Fayre, please contact community@saxmundham-tc.gov.uk before booking.
• All High Street businesses are warmly invited to make use of a pitch outside their premises, provided it is put to good use – for example, a stall, display, or festive activity, rather than simply leaving the space empty. This helps create a lively, engaging Fayre for visitors. (Please note: pitches are only available to businesses on the east side of the High Street due to market layout.)
• We also welcome businesses, entertainers and traders with ideas, special offers, or those who wish to get involved in planning or supporting the event on the day.
• The Christmas Fayre is designed to be fun and accessible for everyone, with a focus on providing value for money and family-friendly entertainment. We set aside a budget to subsidise activities, stalls, entertainers, and organisations that offer enjoyable experiences free or at low cost—such as face painting, games, crafts, or make-your-own workshops. If you have an idea for an activity and are happy to work with us to make it accessible to all, please send your proposal to community@saxmundham-tc.gov.uk. Alternatively, if you are able to sponsor an activity or contribute funds or gifts for Santa’s Grotto, we would love to hear from you.

• Booking on Eventbrite may not guarantee your attendance at this event. The Town Council reserves the right to refuse or cancel bookings if necessary, for example to ensure a greater variety of stalls or for other event management reasons.
