You will learn and develop your individual creative expression and bring these collaborative rhythm songs together in unity to God.

When words are not enough

An exploratory workshop - open to all abilities and experiences.

Our song is a collection of connected rhythms played together. You will learn and develop your individual creative expression and bring these collaborative rhythm songs together in unity to God. Explore how to take concepts, emotions and our spiritual essence and express it in song.

What to expect:

CREATE:

  • Delve into the practical elements of making music—exploring form, journey, and the spiritual power that songs carry.
  • Expand your "Sound and Rhythm Vocabulary," covering elements like Timbre, Dynamic, Soundscapes, and Tempo.
  • Build clarity and intention in your creative offering, so that your sound and rhythm can be activated.

GATHER:

  • Move from being facilitated to know how to join with others in rhythmic conversation and dynamic reaction.
  • Bring the music together to make one song with a range of improvisational techniques that create a space for worship to evolve.

ALIGN:

  • Using our rhythms we will create songs that express the essence of our worship, prayer and declaration.
  • We will draw on the concepts of the fruit of the Spirit and be guided to how we can individually and collectively respond with our creative song.
  • We take concepts, emotions and our spiritual being into what we play.

WHO is the workshop for?

  • Everyone: If you can breathe, you can drum. Beginniners welcome.
  • If you call yourself a Drummer this is a workshop for you to connect your rhythms with who you are and who you were made to be.
  • Adults and older teens (15+). We will send a parental consent form to those under 18.

Rhythm Makers is an international network of passionate, dynamic and creative worshippers who love to use rhythm to pray and worship.
