Revival of Art in the Age of AI inaugurates a new series at ALIUME Art Gallery devoted to the resurgence of handmade, human-centered artistic practice in a time of accelerating technology.
The event marks the release of new artworks by Alex Aliume and the first public unveiling of the gallery’s newly reconfigured space. Through a guided exhibition and live conversation, the evening explores how human creativity continues to evolve in dialogue with artificial intelligence.
Aliume’s practice is rooted in imagination, material intelligence, and handmade process. Each work is created by hand, drawing from the lineage of the old masters while integrating light, optics, and precise mechanisms as supportive tools rather than replacements for human craft. This approach reflects a belief that we are living within a new renaissance — one shaped by balance between technological innovation and the organic intelligence of nature and human skill.
The evening features a live dialogue between Alex Aliume and Carson Lee, moderated by Wendy Tsu. The conversation examines artistic authorship and the role of human creation at a moment when artificial intelligence is reshaping creative culture.
