Retired Ravers Club presents Krafty Kuts & Plump DJs
The Retired Ravers Club are thrilled to present not one, but two massive headliners. Two icons of dance music and pioneers of the breakbeat/house/bass scene - Krafty Kuts and Plump DJs!
Alongside our guests, the resident Retired DJs will supply their much loved mix of the very best house, garage, techno and drum & bass from the 90s to the present day.
Krafty Kuts is an award-winning turntablist, famous for his genre-bending sets and crtically acclaimed albums such as Let's Ride. The Plump DJs are pioneers of electronic music, reknowned for blending breakbeat, funk, house, and techno influences into a unique sound which has smashed dancefloors worldwide since 1998.
This is your chance to catch two legends.
Krafty Kuts has won DJ Mag's Best International DJ and has collaborated with the likes of Jurassic 5's Chali 2na on his hit record 'Hands High'. He's no stranger to sharing the stage with The Prodigy or Fatboy Slim.
Following Plump DJs game-changing albums 'A Plump Night Out' and 'Eargasm', they have taken their electrifying sound from Glastonbury and Boomtown, to Coachella. Having returned from their tour of Australia, they're coming to their home town of St Albans!
The Retired Ravers Club is open to all but it's a particuarly special place for party-goers who have lived and danced through the best years of dance music. Once in a while we come together to dance and experience those good times again. We start early and finish early.
Our DJ's have played in some of the UK's biggest clubs alongside pioneers and legends of dance music.
Barney Logic
One of the lesser known alumni of the school that gave rise to Hot Chip, Four Tet and… ahem… So Solid Crew. A former promoter of drum & bass nights and a DJ across a range of other funk influenced genres including house and hip hop, Barney has shared the stage with the likes of Goldie, Fabio, Annie Mac, Basement Jaxx, and Giles Peterson. He’s ready to come out of retirement!
Pete XRX
Pete's journey into electronic music began in the late 90s across the club scenes of Liverpool, Manchester, and London. A veteran of the legendary Turnmills and other iconic venues, Pete brings decades of dancefloor wisdom to his sets. Expect expertly crafted deep and tech house with perfectly timed crowd-pleasers.
BIGp
BIGp will be taking you on a tour of Garage, Rave classics and other genres that give him flashbacks of a golden era of dance music.
