About;
Restorative Yoga allows the body and head to rest, restore and replenish. If the head is whirring and or the body is hurting, here we allow them to rest and through opening - holding poses for longer - release tension and tightness. With the ultimate aim being to bring a balance of energies throughout the body, so that you are not only rested but restored back to equilibrium to then be and move in the world more in your natural, effortlessly effective ways the body is designed to do.
These are slow sessions where poses are held for longer, allowing for a deeper sense of release and stillness.
We’ll use props such as bolsters, blocks, belts and sandbags to go deeper, aid release and grounding. We’ll connect into the breath to invite in and be with stillness. Guided meditation and tibetan bowl, sound also part of these sessions.
