we give used red packets a vibrant second life by cutting them into strips and weaving them into beautiful, textured creations.

Transform tradition into art at WeaveLab: Renewal in Red! In this hands-on workshop that’s great for all ages, we give used red packets a vibrant second life by cutting them into strips and weaving them into beautiful, textured creations.

  • Discover the joy of upcycling while exploring patterns, colour play, and mindful craftsmanship.
  • Whether you’re a seasoned maker or a curious beginner, this session invites you to slow down, connect, and create something meaningful from symbols of prosperity.
  • Perfect for friends, families, and anyone who loves sustainable creativity, WeaveLab is where tradition meets innovation - one woven strip at a time. Join us and craft your own Renewal in Red.

What to bring:

  • A pair of sharp scissors and/or pen knife and/or rotary cutter. If using rotary cutter or pen knife, please bring a cutting mat that’s around A4 to A3 size.
  • Used red packets (as many as you like!).

Participants aged 12 and under are to be guided carefully by accompanying adult(s). Children under 6 are welcome too and will need to bring their own child-safe scissors.

Please note that all sales are final, no refunds. TFP members can use 20 points for a 10% discount.
