Music Old and New based on Renaissance Dances
Madregalia is presenting another fabulous Twelfth Night concert using music based on Renaissance forms, both historical and modern. The modern pieces are composed by our director, Jefferson DeMarco, which includes Christmas Caroles and the Mass on Renaissance Basses (a common form of chord progressions used in that time period). Also included is the Pachelbel's famous Kanon in D played beautifully on three violins and continuo. As always, we will feature our superb Madregalia Singers and our Pastyme Concert of early music instruments which will include the Viola da Gamba, Recorder, and Renaissance Guitar. We hope to see you there!
