You can work on this month's project or bring your own. We'll explore a variety of arts and crafts such as sewing, soft toy making, crochet, knitting, ceramics, drawing, photography, embroidery, zine-making and much more! You'll be able to help us decide what to try next.
So if you want to get crafty, this is the place for you, whether you're a first time dabbler or an experienced maker.
Sessions will be led by our lovely host Teddy Bear Josh (They/He) or by a visiting artist. You can join in or bring your own portable project to work on.
In this workshop sew (or glue gun) your very own Christmas Gnome. This beginner friendly tutorial will combine fabric and yarn work to personalise your own little Gnome friend, the perfect way to get into the festive season!
Important physical access info:
Please note that this session is upstairs. We are in the process of installing a lift, however due to unforeseen delays this is now due to be completed November 2025, but could change. The event space is up a single flight of 14 steps then you go around the corner and there are two small steps. Once you’re upstairs there’s a loo. You shouldn’t need to come downstairs for anything until the end of the activity.
If you have additional access needs (e.g. large print, BSL interpreter, level access) please let us know by emailing (using the contact organiser button/link) or sending us an SMS text/WhatsApp message on 07957 602790.
These sessions are supported by Know Your Neighbourhood funding from Historic England.
