As the country advances toward its long-term net zero target by 2070, AI is emerging as a strategic enabler across clean technologies for climate mitigation, including renewable energy deployment, electric mobility, industrial efficiency, and climate resilience.

India is also among the countries most exposed to climate risks, including extreme heat, floods, droughts, and cyclones. The UNFCCC recognises AI as a critical tool for climate adaptation, supporting earth observation, climate modelling, weather forecasting, risk analytics, and early warning systems—areas where collaboration between governments, researchers, and technology providers is essential.

In this context, the Pre-Summit Event is positioned as a focused platform to bridge India’s policy priorities, real-world clean technology deployment, and emerging AI system choices.
