Join us for an amazing pottery experience at our weekly pottery workshop here at Liberation Art Gallery! Discover the joy of creative expression in our hands-on Pottery Paint & Glaze Workshop at Liberation Art Gallery. Designed for beginners and experienced artists alike, this immersive session guides participants through the full process of transforming your ceramic pieces into personalized works of art.

Under the expert guidance of our resident potter at Liberation Art Gallery, you'll embark on a creative journey using paints and glazes to finish your handmade ceramic piece. You will explore a range of painting techniques, color layering methods, and glazing applications to bring your vision to life. Whether you prefer bold patterns, intricate detailing, or a minimalist aesthetic, our guided environment encourages creativity at every level.

Guided by an experienced instructor, the class encourages personal expression, experimentation, and the development of individual style. Whether you are completely new to ceramics or looking to expand your practice, this class provides the time, space, and instruction needed to grow your skills.

All materials are provided, including paints, brushes, and glazes. Painted pieces will be kiln-finished to ensure durability and a professional, polished surface. Participants may return to pick up their completed artwork once the firing process is complete.

This workshop is a unique opportunity to relax, connect, and create something meaningful with your own hands. Ideal for individuals, small groups, team-building activities, and special occasions.

All materials are provided, just bring yourself and an old t-shirt to dive into this hands-on experience! No prior experience required. *Important: Please ensure you have already made your ceramic piece (and its been fired) with us prior to booking. This workshop is the second stage of making a finished pottery piece.

Liberation Art Gallery CIC is a not-for-profit social enterprise dedicated to making creativity accessible for everyone. Nestled in the heart of Brighton, our gallery and creative workshop and art therapy space reinvests all profits directly back into our community programmes, ensuring quality exhibition space for artists and individuals, families, and young people, especially those facing barriers to education, mental health support, or inclusion can access high-quality creative and therapeutic experiences. By joining our workshops and events, you’re not only nurturing your own creativity, but actively helping us deliver free and low-cost art therapy, outreach projects, and wellbeing initiatives to those who need it most.

Cancellation Policy:

We understand.that plans can change, and we do our best to be fair whilst protecting the sustainability of our workshops.

  • Cancellations or date changes must be made at least 48 hours before the scheduled.workshops
  • Cancellations made within 48 hours of the workshop or non attendance on the day are non-refundable
  • As a good-will gesture, we are happy to to offer a transfer to a future workshop of equal value subject to availability when at least 48 hours notice is given
  • Workshop credits must be used within 3 months of the original workshop date and cannot be exchanged for cash
  • We are unable to offer refunds or workshop transfers for same-day cancellations. As materials, artist fees and staffing are already commited.
  • In rare and exceptional circumstances please contact us directly. Any discretion offered is at Liberation Art gallery's discretion.
