For adults working with young people two training workshops Gamifying Democracy and Exploring Elections

Delivered by the Politics Project - you can choice to attend one or both workshops - please indicate when booking

Gamifying Democracy - 10.30 - 12.30

This training is ideal for youth practitioners looking for meaningful, practical, and enjoyable ways to bring politics to life with young people. In this training, we’ll share games and activities you can use in youth settings to start conversations about politics and democracy. Designed for group settings in informal spaces, these games help young people explore their power, voice and their ideas for change. The easy-to-use games we'll share in the training are specifically designed to support young people to explore their power and agency, their ideas and opinions about local, national and global topics, and their emotions towards politics and politicians.

Exploring Elections training is between 1.15 - 3.15

This training helps youth workers spark meaningful conversations about politics with young people and break down how local elections work, in the lead up to the May 2026 local elections.

In this session, you'll pick up:

  • Tips for leading open, respectful chats about political topics.
  • Information about the elections taking place in 2026, and how to support young people to engage in them.
  • Ideas and activities to motivate young people to get involved in democracy.

This hands-on session is perfect for anyone working with young people who wants to empower them to understand and engage with the world around them.

The Venue is a 7 min walk from the train station. Light refreshments will be provided. Do bring lunch if staying for both workshops.
