Foraging Walk (Plants and Potions)
Join Dorothy for a magical midwinter session delving into the fascinating world of our local trees, learning how to identify trees by their unique bark, buds and winter silhouettes. You will discover their surprising uses from traditional medicine and crafts to their place in Scottish folklore. It is a great opportunity to connect with nature and learn more about the trees and wild herbs growing in the beautiful coastal village of Limekilns. Weather permitting, you will also explore the resilient winter greens that thrive in the coldest months of the year, uncovering their hidden properties and surprising flavours. Indeed many of the most useful plants are not rare and exotic but growing on your own doorstep. You will have the opportunity to taste some wild food herbal infusions and snacks and will culminate your foraging experience by crafting a potion to take home.

Important Notes: Dress warmly and wear suitable footwear for slightly uneven, potentially muddy ground and please bring a clean jamjar for your potion. All levels of experience welcome.
