Join Carve Your Own Path (CYOP) for a morning dedicated to you. In the hustle of daily life, it’s easy to pour from an empty cup. This event is a trauma-informed, culturally responsive, and holistic space designed specifically for the women of greater Summit County to pause, breathe, and reconnect.
Through a generous grant from the Akron Community Foundation, we are bringing together the best local holistic practitioners for a morning of movement, education, and community connection.
What’s Waiting for You:
- Complimentary Wellness Bag: The first attendees to arrive will receive a curated self-care bag!
- The Interactive Wellness Floor: Meet vendors representing the 8 dimensions of wellness. Enjoy samplings of their services and one-on-one connections with local providers.
- Expressive Art Therapy Station: A dedicated, ongoing space to explore your creativity and emotional well-being through guided art prompts.
Mini-Workshop Schedule:
- 9:15 AM – 9:45 AM: Gentle Flow Yoga – Mindful movement to connect your breath and body (Open to all levels).
- 9:45 AM – 10:15 AM: Resilience Skills – Practical, take-home strategies for navigating life's stressors.
- 10:15 AM – 10:45 AM: Calm & Centered Breathwork – Learn techniques to regulate your nervous system in real-time.
Bring the Kids! (Free Supervised Childcare)
Don't let childcare be a barrier to your self-care. We are proud to offer a professionally-staffed Kids Wellness Area. Your children will be cared for by social work interns and board volunteers in a safe, fun environment featuring:
- Two dedicated Kids Yoga sessions (led by a certified instructor).
- Wellness-themed crafts and activities.
- Please register your children via the "Childcare RSVP" ticket so we can ensure proper staffing ratios.
