A Night of Jazz supporting Artists and Music Education

Pathways To Jazz Benefit Concert Featuring Brad Goode

Join us at Dazzle Denver for an unforgettable evening of live jazz in support of Pathways To Jazz, an organization dedicated to launching and elevating jazz artists’ careers and to powering music education for Colorado youth.

This special benefit concert brings together emerging talent and world-class mastery featuring a standout student performer Luca Dardanis from the Colorado Conservatory for the Jazz Arts (CCJA) alongside the incomparable Brad Goode, hailed by the Chicago Tribune as “the lyrical genius of the trumpet.”

Brad Goode is not just a master improviser and recording artist with nearly four decades at the center of American jazz, he is a teacher, mentor, and cultural force whose career embodies what Pathways To Jazz exists to support. From leading Chicago’s iconic Green Mill house band to touring internationally and shaping generations of musicians, Goode represents the full arc of jazz tradition: learned, lived, and passed on.

Brad was awarded a Pathways To Jazz grant in 2017, and in 2019, he released That’s Right on Origin Records, a collaboration with saxophonist and two-time Grammy Award winner Ernie Watts.

Brad Goode Quartet featuring:
Brad Goode - trumpet
Eric Gunnison - piano
Marlene Rosenberg - bass
Jim White - drums

Why This Concert Matters:
Pathways To Jazz, launched by the Cielo Foundation, invests where it counts:

Recording Grants for Jazz Artists — Professional recordings that help musicians launch and sustain real careers. Since 2014, the program has awarded grants to 131 artists, now expanding internationally to support musicians in Italy. Average grant awards are $3,000-$5000 dollars per artist.

Music Education for Youth — Year-long, public-school programs in under-resourced communities, instruments, mentorship, private lessons, and music camps for students. $5,000 funds a full year of music education for one public school.

Our goal is to raise $100,000 in 2026, for these initiatives. Donations are tax deductible and are made through the Boulder County Arts Alliance website, our fiscal sponsor.
