This Ramadan, Maslaha and Parents for Palestine invite you to an afternoon of learning, sharing, and building solidarity and community.
While children take part in arts and crafts, parents and carers are invited to a Know Your Rights workshop with Maslaha and Parents for Palestine. Maslaha is a charity challenging structural racism and supporting Muslim children in education.
Together we'll explore - what are our rights in schools? What has been the reaction from schools in London the last couple of years? What are successful campaigns and wins in schools? What challenges are other children and parents facing? What can be done collectively in case of pushback/challenges from the school? What support is out there?
It will be a chance to connect with other local parents and carers, find out about the results of our recent survey, and to see how we can organise together for Palestine.
We’re hoping to have a lawyer present to provide legal guidance.
