Dive into a day of seaside creativity! Sketch, paint, and collage inspired by Brighton’s coast. All materials included.

Join a full-day art workshop in Brighton inspired by the beauty, energy, and textures of the sea.

We’ll begin the day at the beach, taking in the coastal atmosphere and sketching directly from life. You’ll be guided through simple exercises to capture movement, shapes, and colour, as we explore the rhythm and flow of the seaside environment.

After our sketching session, we’ll head back to the studio, where you’ll use your drawings and observations as a starting point to create your own sea-inspired artwork. You’ll have the freedom to experiment with acrylic paint, charcoal, inks, and collage, exploring different techniques and materials to express your personal response to the sea.

Throughout the day, there will be space for reflection, conversation, and creativity in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere. You’ll be supported with guidance and demonstrations, but encouraged to develop your own style and approach.

This workshop is suitable for all levels – whether you’re a complete beginner or an experienced artist looking for new inspiration. It’s a wonderful opportunity to spend a creative day by the coast, connect with nature, and take home an artwork inspired by Brighton’s seaside.

What’s included:
- All materials (acrylics, inks, charcoal, collage papers, and sketching materials)
- Tea, coffee, and light refreshments
- A friendly, supportive environment for creative exploration

Please bring:

  • Comfortable shoes and warm clothing for sketching outdoors
  • A packed lunch (there will be a break between the beach and studio sessions)

Location: Morning session at Brighton beach (meeting point will be confirmed), followed by the studio session at Brighton Art Space, 27 Regency Street, Brighton.

🕓 Time: 11:00am - 6:00pm

About the Tutor

I am an artist and educator who studied Fine Arts and Art Education in Italy, completing a Bachelor’s degree in Painting with a specialisation in oil painting and a Master’s degree in Art Education. Over the past six years, I have designed and delivered a wide range of art workshops, wellbeing sessions, and heritage-related projects, with a particular focus on using creativity as a tool for connection and self-expression.

In my teaching, I combine my professional expertise with a gentle and inclusive approach, encouraging participants to progress at their own pace. I strongly believe in the transformative power of art and heritage to enhance wellbeing and deeply emphasise the joy of experimentation and discovery, rather than on producing perfect results.
