Painting Everyday Life: The Art of Clementine Hunter

Saturday, February 28th from 2-3pm
Learn about Clementine Hunter (1886–1988), a self-taught black folk artist from Louisiana who began painting in her 50s. Clementine told the story of her life—picking cotton, cooking, and celebrating family—through her colorful, joyful paintings. After hearing her story, kids will create their own artwork inspired by the people and places that matter most to them.

For Ages 6 & up.
