Dive into the world of contemporary art and explore the process of painting in this in-person 6 week course starting in April 2026

Each week you will be exploring and experimenting with acrylic paint, this will include: composition, staining, and dragging paint, pattern and shape, simplifying and optical effects


You will be encouraged to use a sketchbook at home and in your own time to record notes, sketches, colours and ideas in preparation for your classes.


You will be learning about the work of contemporary painters to inspire and enrich your own explorations and discoveries.


Claire will provide exercises, demonstrations, inspiration and subject matter for this course.
