A fun, beginner-friendly art night
Shake up your usual night out and try something a little different. This Paint & Sip Minimalist Still Life Painting event is a relaxed, creative way to spend an evening—whether you’re planning a date night, meeting friends, or just craving something more interesting than another dinner or night of scrolling.
Bring your favorite beverage, grab a brush, and settle into a laid-back but energetic art experience where conversation, creativity, and experimentation are encouraged.
This experience includes artist-grade materials, custom-mixed color palettes, and step-by-step instruction from a professionally trained painter to help you create something truly special.
You’ll create a modern, minimalist still life painting inspired by a curated arrangement of objects such as a wine bottle, vase, fruit, or teacup. No drawing or painting experience is needed.
You’ll paint on an 11 x 14 inch stretched canvas using high-quality, artist-grade acrylic paints.
How it works:
This is a simplified, contemporary approach to still life—we won’t be focusing on realism, shading, or fine detail. Instead, you’ll create a clean, expressive painting that feels modern, thoughtful, and uniquely yours.
Everyone leaves with a finished artwork that actually looks good on a wall (or makes a great gift).
Along the way, you’ll be introduced to real artist techniques, including:
The instruction is approachable and supportive, designed to help you feel empowered to keep making art beyond this one night.
The color palette and still life arrangement changes weekly, which makes this a great recurring event. Come back with a partner or friend and build a mini collection of paintings in different colors—display them together or spread them throughout your space for a cohesive, gallery-style look.
🍷 Paint & Sip Vibe
This isn’t about being “good at art.”
It’s about doing something playful, creative, and a little out of the ordinary.
Mindy Keller is a practicing artist specializing in painting and printmaking, with formal fine art training from Ventura College (CA) and Columbus College of Art & Design.
She loves helping people feel confident making art—especially those who think they “aren’t creative.” Her teaching style is approachable, encouraging, and low-pressure, with just enough guidance to help everyone succeed while still leaving room to make the painting your own.
Mindy believes making art should feel fun, freeing, and restorative—and maybe even spark a new creative habit.
