Welcome to the PA Safe Schools Summit!

The PA Safe Schools Summit brings together national leaders in school safety and crisis response for two powerful days of learning, collaboration, and actionable strategies. Held December 8–9 at the Hyatt Place Pittsburgh South/Meadows, the summit features keynote speaker Jill Lemond, a former Oxford, MI school leader turned national advocate, along with a distinguished lineup including Covenant School responder Detective Michael Collazo, FBI consultant Dr. Melissa Nelson, retired superintendent Tom Burton, and Chief Aaron Vanatta. Together, these experts will share first-hand insights into proactive prevention, threat assessment, crisis communication, and protecting vulnerable student populations.
