Outlandish is a Brooklyn-based, Black-owned outdoor and community space rooted in storytelling, movement, and gathering with intention. Our book club is one way we make space for people of color to slow down, read deeply, and connect through shared reflection.

📕 Our February read is : “Heavy” by Kiese Laymon was named one of the best books of the year by New York Times and continues our book club series of Southern memoirs by Black authors, where place, memory, and family are felt as much as they are remembered.

Reading Black history during BHM not just as the past, but as something living, contested and still being written.
