Oskar Barnack Day Photo Meet with Leica Store Bellevue

Join us for a photowalk among the historic buildings of central Ballard as we celebrate one of photography's greatest pioneers, Oskar Barnack. This one man is responsible for inventing 35mm film for photography, inventing the first 35mm film camera, inventing the first canister to hold 35mm film, and creating Leica's first camera. At 9 a.m., we will meet outside the Filson store in Ballard. All cameras are welcome, the smaller the better, because Barnack was all about a small camera producing big images.
