An evening of wildlife photography with award-winning Joe Subolefsky, sharing stunning images, stories, and tips from a year as a guide

Join us for an inspiring evening of wildlife photography with award-winning photographer Joe Subolefsky. Based in Maryland, Joe has traveled the globe in pursuit of some of the world’s most elusive and charismatic wildlife, capturing striking images that tell compelling natural history stories.

Joe’s work has appeared on the covers of Ducks Unlimited and Natural History Magazine, and he has earned top honors in prestigious national and international competitions, including Bird Photographer of the Year and the Audubon Photography Awards. His photography has also been featured by Audubon, Ducks Unlimited, and Cornell University, where it appears in Bird Biology textbooks and other educational publications.

In this presentation, One Year as a Wildlife Photography Guide, Joe will share a selection of his favorite images from the field, along with the stories behind them. He’ll offer insight into what it’s really like to work as a photography guide, what participants can expect from a wildlife photography workshop, and how to get the absolute most out of the experience.

The talk is designed to appeal to everyone. Non-photographers will enjoy the behind-the-scenes stories and adventures that led to each image, while photographers will gain practical takeaways, including camera settings, techniques, and an abbreviated “tips and tricks” session drawn from Joe’s years of guiding and shooting in the field.

This event is weather dependent, our rain date will be TBD. Tickets are $10 for each adult and $3 per child plus fees. Donations are appreciated! Event is limited due to parking first come first served (please use link to purchase online). Parking is limited so please carpool if possible. The Susquehannock Wildlife Conservation Center property is not yet open to the public and is only open for special events such as this one at this time.

This event made possible by a grant from the Harford County Office of Community & Economic Development. For those of you who are visiting from out of town, please consider staying in a local hotel so you can join both of our pollinator events this weekend.
