Master composition & light on a guided photo walk through NYC’s iconic modern architecture. Open to all skill levels.

Capture NYC's most stunning modern architecture—without freezing.

Join professional photography tutor JP for a hands-on workshop dedicated to capturing light, geometry, and the unique architectural vibe of Lower Manhattan.

This 2-hour workshop is designed to get you off Auto mode and thinking creatively about composition. We will focus on the "Indoor Architecture Loop," exploring the stunning white curves of the Oculus (World Trade Center) and the light-filled atrium of Brookfield Place. This route is specifically designed to be a mix of outdoors and indoors (to keep us warm).

What You Will Learn:

  • Composition: How to spot symmetry, leading lines, and dynamic framing in modern architecture.
  • Visual Storytelling: How to use multiple images to tell a story of a scene.

Who is this for? This workshop is open to all skill levels. Whether you are a total beginner wanting to learn how to use your new camera, or an intermediate shooter looking for a creative spark, you will receive personalized feedback and instruction during the walk.

What to Bring:

  • Your Camera: A DSLR, Mirrorless, Point-and-Shoot, or Smartphone.
  • Note on Gear: Please leave tripods at home. Due to security regulations inside these buildings, we will be shooting handheld only.

Meeting Point: We will meet upstairs on the main floor of the Oculus (near the Apple Store entrance). Exact details will be emailed to registered attendees 24 hours before the event.
