Understand the breadth of support available to technology companies.

This event is designed to help science, technology and engineering companies in the North West region better understand the breadth of support available to them from regional Universities and local UKRI partners in terms of:

• Access to student and graduate talent

• Collaborative Research & Development (CR&D) and access to funding for this

• Knowledge Transfer Partnerships (KTP)

• Licensing Technology and access to specialist equipment

• Workforce training and development

This event is not for academic staff or students.


The event is designed to help science, technology and engineering companies better understand the breadth of support available to them and how they can best take advantage of this. It will be done through two mechanisms:

• Short session interviewing 4 companies about their experiences and advice on the benefits of working with a University

• Exhibition enabling you to meet with representatives from 6 regional universities, Innovate UK and STFC to explore potential areas of support and collaboration.

• Opportunity to pitch a specific project where you want to collaborate with a University

The event will take place in The Innovation Centre at Sci-Tech Daresbury (postcode WA4 4FS). For directions please go to https://sci-techdaresbury.com/campus-life/travelhub/. Visitor parking is available on-site and attendees will be notified of where to park before the event.


Programme

9.00 – 9.30am – Registration and visit exhibition stands – Innovation Centre

9.35 – 9.55am – Interview of company panel on their experience of working with a University – Merrison Lecture Theatre

9.55 – 10.25am –3-minute pitch from each University, STFC and Innovate UK highlighting specific programmes – Merrison Lecture Theatre

10.30am – 12.00pm Visit exhibition stands - Innovation Centre

12.00-12.30pm – Optional campus tours – leave from Innovation Centre

10.35 – 11.30am – Pitching of selected company opportunities to University representatives - Innovation Centre

Interested companies will need to apply to pitch their collaborative opportunity and information will be sent after you have registered to enable you to do this.
