World-class music with a village hall vibe, Live At The Law welcomes the Nicole Smit Quintet for an intimate performance.
Following the huge success of their run of sold-out events in North Berwick, organisers from Live At The Law are now bringing much loved musicians to the seaside town. This time, with a genre twist!
Queen of the blues Nicole Smit has had a seismic impact on the Scottish Jazz and Blues scenes over the last decade adding her own unique take to songs both old and new. Her voice is versatile and soulful, nuanced, playful, smoking and sultry. She controls the stage with a quiet power and a wry smile, beguiling an audience before shaking them to their foundations.
With Nicole Smit Quintet, she is carried upon a landside of talent: Vid Gobac on drums, Cameron Bradley on bass, Kassandra E’Silva on sax and Dave Toule on guitar. The first of Live at the Law’s events to feature a full band, you’re in for a rich sound treat.
Cameron Henderson, Operations Director for Live At The Law said:
"We're really excited to bring Nicole Smit Quintet to Live at the Law in March. It marks a change for us, expanding genres and hosting larger bands and these guys are really something. I can't wait to introduce them to the audience, it's going to be pretty special. "
Support to be announced soon.
Live At The Law is establishing a reputation for presenting world-class acts with a cosy village hall feel, this is sure to be yet another excellent night.
