New Year, New(ish) Me is a gentle, creativity-led experience designed to help women beat the January blues and reconnect with themselves - without the pressure or forced goal-setting that often comes with New Year messaging.
Hosted by East Croydon Cool and powered by The Switch Off, this silent, phone-free event invites you to slow down, switch off your digital world, and spend a couple of hours in a cosy, calm space surrounded by others - with no pressure to talk or perform.
On arrival, you’ll be invited to hand over your phone and enter a softly lit space filled with gentle background music. From there, you’re free to move at your own pace, choosing where to begin and how long to linger.
What you’ll experience:
Cosy Reading Corner
Sink into soft seating with a book - either bring your own or browse our collection. Enjoy bottomless hot drinks and treats, and give yourself permission to rest, reflect and simply be.
Mini Art Exhibition – 'The Power of Small Habits'
A reflective exhibition of 365 hand-painted postcards - one created each day across 2025 - celebrating how tiny, consistent creative actions can lead to meaningful change. A quiet invitation to consider what small habit you might welcome into the year ahead.
Creative Activity Area
Relaxed, self-guided creative activities including vision-boarding and journaling.
All materials and prompts provided.
New Year, New(ish) Me is a gentle reset. There’s no pressure to reinvent yourself or set big goals. Instead, it’s about creating space - to pause, reflect, and reconnect with where you’re at, what you want, and the small, steady habits that quietly shape your days.
We are running two Sessions (in the morning and afternoon) for up to 30 people.
Earlybird tickets (purchased before 31 December) cost £10, then it's £15 after that.
