This programme is designed for young people, aged 11-18, in a home-educated environment, to come together for some outdoor learning.
Discover and explore our National Park, with the guidance of our Education & Youth team. Start to understand what makes the Forest special and how we can all help to protect it. Our time will include a some physical activity through practical tool use, on rough and uneven terrain, possibly muddy in places. It will involve some discussion around the purpose of our work and demonstration for appropriate use of tools. Please let us know if you have any questions or if there is anything we might be able to do to support you in attending.
This is the fourth session in a five-day programme (one day a week, starting Thursday 11 December, finishing Thursday 22 January) - hopefully you can make each one, booking onto each individual event is essential to secure your place.
Please note that all young people must be accompanied by a responsible adult (due to number restrictions, please bring no more than one adult per child), no need to book a ticket for accompanying adult. If you need to bring along younger siblings, please contact us before you book tickets, to ensure we can accommodate this.
Please be aware that we will intend to go ahead in adverse weather conditions, but might have to cancel sessions at short notice if more extreme weather is forecast.
All locations remain subject to change, due to unforseen circumstances, such as forestry work.
