NDASRO/SDASRO 2026 School Safety Summer Conference

NDASRO and SDASRO are very excited to bring you a joined School Safety Summer Conference! June 9th (starts at 1pm) - June 11th, 2026 (ends at 12pm).

This year's conference will take place at the Lead-Deadwood High School in Lead, SD. A block of rooms has been secured at Tru by Hilton in Deadwood, SD.

Keynote speaker, Professor Bernie James from Pepperdine University, will be presenting on FERPA law and Behavioral Threat Assessments in K-12 schools. Professor James comes to us as a content expert with over 40 years of consulting and teaching law at Pepperdine University.

Other presenters include Brett Garland - Director of South Dakota School Safety Center, Shane Hardie and Tasha Volhken - Investigators with the Division of Criminal Investigations, Isaiah Solider - Investigator with BIA, and Hollie Strand - Pennington County Sheriff's Office.
