Five of Scotland’s diverse coalitions are teaming up to host the biggest climate and nature husting ahead of the 2026 Scottish elections.

*18:00 arrival for a 18:30 start - in person and online

Working together, Our Seas Coalition, Stop Climate Chaos Scotland, Scottish Environment LINK, the Scottish Food Coalition and the Scottish Rewilding Alliance represent hundreds of organisations and over 1 million people in Scotland.

This pre-election debate will see party representatives answer questions from an audience live in central Edinburgh and will be broadcast online to members of the public across Scotland.

Polling recently conducted by Scottish Environment LINK shows that 7 out of 10 voters say that environmental and climate issues are important to them when deciding how to vote. This is your chane to put your questions to the political parties asking for your vote in the Scottish Parliament election in May.

Chair: Talat Yaqoob, campaigner, researcher, writer and commentator

  • Cllr James Dalgleish - Scottish Labour
  • Douglas Lumdsen MSP – Scottish Conservatives, Shadow Cabinet Secretary for Energy and Environment
  • Gillian Martin MSP - Scottish National Party, Cabinet Secretary for Climate Action and Energy
