Concerteenies and Hallam Sinfonia present The Duck With No Luck, based on the book by Jonathan Long and Korky Paul (illustrator of the Winnie and Wilbur series), and published by Oxford University Press. This musical story, with original music by composer Paul Rissmann and animations by Victor Craven, combines story-telling, projected illustrations, quality music and plenty of audience participation. This is a perfect introduction to the orchestra with music also by Rimsky-Korsakov, Holst, Ellis and Coates. This concert is presented and narrated by Polly Ives and conducted by Helen Harrison.
When Dizzy the duck oversleeps and misses the flight South, he knows that he must, somehow, catch his friends up. Unfortunately, Dizzy doesn't have a good sense of direction. Can anyone help him on his way? Join him as he encounters a mischievous pigeon, a well-meaning parrot, and a hungry vulture… not to mention swampy jungles and a chase into space!
