Welcome to the META Conference! Join us for a day filled with insightful discussions, networking opportunities, and engaging sessions. This in-person event will be held at the Stanislaus County Office of Education. Whether you're a seasoned professional or just starting in the field of education, this conference is perfect for anyone looking to expand their knowledge and connect with like-minded individuals. HIGHLIGHTS

Pre-Conference: Dual Language Education Parent Academy - Trainer Orientation • 2/20 • 8:00 A.M. - 2:00 P.M.

The pre-conference institute is designed as an orientation session for parent education staff/trainers and others who work with parent/family engagement. The focus will be on sharing the META/ATDLE Dual Language EducationParent Academy program /curriculum, and participants will experience components of the curriculum, learn facilitation strategies to deliver the curriculum, and receive access to the Academy scripted slide decks, parent handbooks, and other materials to equip them to convene their own Academies. Participants will also become part of a network with access to further support and mentoring. Capacity: 45. Lead Facilitator: Kevin Chávez


High School Student Leadership Institute • 2/21 • 8:30 A.M. - 3:30 P.M.

This institute will focus on engaging high school students in building their knowledge of and leadership around the benefits of multilingualism, linguistic human rights, and advocacy. The students will participate in all the Saturday general sessions as well as in specific leadership sessions designed for the students. Students will receive a free one-year membership in CABE/META as well as a META t-shirt. Capacity: 45 Students. Lead Facilitator: Marcos Aguilar

President's Reception • 2/20 • 6:00 P.M. - 7:30 P.M.

Modesto DoubletreeThe President's Reception is open to all registered attendees and provides an opportunity for attendees to meet and mingle with the conference speakers and presenters. Appetizers served.
