Experience an evening of inspiring classical music in the atmospheric setting of Trinity College Chapel, Cambridge, illuminated by candlelight.

Music in Action presents a distinguished programme featuring Mozart’s Piano Concerto No. 21, performed by international soloist and pianist Finghin Collins with the Celoniatus Ensemble. The concert also includes the brilliance and drama of Handel’s Arrival of the Queen of Sheba and the warmth and lyricism of Tchaikovsky’s Serenade for Strings.

This special concert forms part of Music in Action’s charitable work, raising funds to support children’s education, using the power of live music to create lasting impact.

Finghin Collins

One of Ireland's most successful musicians, Finghin Collins, is the winner of multiple awards including first prize at the Clara Haskil Competition in Switzerland in 1999. In a flourishing international career from Europe and the United States, to the Far East and Australia, he has performed with such orchestras as the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, London Philharmonic Orchestra, Rotterdam Philharmonic Orchestra,and Seoul Philharmonic Orchestra garnering praise from critics and public alike.

He has given solo recitals in many of the world’s most prestigious halls such as the Wigmore Hall and participates frequently in leading chamber music festivals including Verbier and the Zermatt Festivals with colleagues of international standing.


Celoniatus Ensemble

Named after her 1730 Italian violin, international soloist Harriet Mackenzie directs the Celoniatus Ensemble. Featuring hand-plucked international prizewinners and established professionals in an innovative chamber orchestra, the group's sold-out debut performance of Piazzolla/Desyanikov's Four Seasons of Buenos Aires led to exciting invitations around the UK and Europe.

These include performances at Chichester Cathedral; Salisbury Cathedral: the inaugural concert season of the new World Heart Beat Concert Hall in London; the acclaimed 'TunedIn' Series in London; Bilbao Festival; Magdalen College Oxford; as well as live broadcasts on BBC Radio 3.

Celoniatus Ensemble work with leading soloists such as the Grammy award-winning singer Sir Willard White, Lucy Crowe and Finghin Collins.
