Come home to yourself with a day of embodied yoga, movement and seasonal nutrition.

I am thrilled to be collaborating with DJ Sunmoth (Aaron Auguste) and Urban Forage to bring you a full day’s embodied wellness experience at Emerson College, Forest Row.

Embodied movement invites you to tune into the sensations and subtle energies of your body - how you naturally move and feel. Rather than perfecting poses, embodied yoga encourages playful, mindful movement that honours your unique way of being. This can lead to deeper self-awareness and a healthier dialogue between mind and body.

Are you ready to let yourself flow?

I will share fun, fluid, embodied yoga to support nervous system regulation and leave you feeling lighter, energised and more spacious. Through playful, mindful physical practices, I’ll help you tune into your body to cultivate a joyful, flowing connection between mind and movement.

Want to know more about me?

I began practising yoga as a teenager in the ‘90s, when Madonna made ‘power yoga’ fashionable! Over the past 30+ years, my practice and teaching have evolved into an exploration of embodied movement, sound, breathing, meditation, rest and nutrition.

It took me a long time to feel brave enough to teach yoga! I graduated just after lockdown in 2020 with a 200hr yoga teaching diploma (distinction) from The Unity School in Lewes. I recently completed an Embody and Flow training at Flow State, Hove. I hold space for people of all backgrounds to come together without fear or judgement (of self or others), to enjoy a conscious, liberating and empowering yoga experience.

What else will we do on the day?

Ecstatic Dance with DJ Sunmoth.

Music, freeform and joyful discovery are the keynotes of ecstatic dance. Move without judgement, without rules and with permission to find your own expression.

DJ Sunmoth (Aaron Auguste) is an ecstatic dance facilitator and visual artist inspired by the natural world. His DJ sets are uplifting, euphoric and resonate with tribal beats. Expect an aural kaleidoscope of ambient vibes, house, breakbeats and more. Let yourself go and flow with the rhythm of free movement.

We will also spend time walking and journalling in the beautiful grounds of Emerson College.

What about food?

Chef Christian Amys of Urban Forage will be serving up a feast, using locally-foraged ingredients cooked over a firepit. Expect comfort foods packed full of seasonal goodness, all prepared with Christian's unique signature.

Christian Amys is a former Michelin-starred chef and Masterchef quarter finalist who found his calling when he established Urban Forage in 2021. When he isn’t stoking the fire at his wild kitchen at Stanmer Craft Museum, you’ll find him leading groups of keen foragers around Stanmer Park and along Brighton’s coastline, or presenting wild nutrition workshops at festivals around the country.
