Join us at Etihad Museum for a special Ramadan film screening of Mountain Boy (2024), a coming-of-age journey set in the breathtaking landscapes of the United Arab Emirates.
The film follows Suhail, a young Emirati boy with autism who finds comfort living alone in the Fujairah mountains, away from a home where he feels misunderstood. When he crosses paths with a child caught in a storm, he sets off on an unexpected journey beyond the mountains.
With Barakah, an Arabian saluki, by his side, Suhail travels toward Abu Dhabi in search of his mother’s family, meeting strangers who become friends along the way.
The screening will be followed by a Q&A with director Zainab Shaheen, producer Nancy Paton, writer Michelle Ziolkowski, actor Naser Almessabi, and guest Saleh Almessabi.
