In this 2-week workshop, guests will create a one of a kind mosaic vase.

Mosaic a Vase Workshop

Hosted by On the Easel at Greats of Crafts – Long Island City

Join us for a hands-on mosaic workshop where you’ll transform a simple ceramic vase into a one-of-a-kind work of art.

This is a 2-week workshop taking place Thursday 3/19 & Thursday 3/26

Each guest will receive a white ceramic vase (3.9" x 3.9" x 8.9"), an assortment of beautiful glass tiles, and all the tools and materials needed to design and build a unique mosaic masterpiece. Whether you prefer bold geometric patterns, organic florals, abstract color fields, or something completely personal, this workshop gives you the freedom to create a design that reflects your style.

Over the course of 2 relaxed, creative sessions, you’ll learn foundational mosaic techniques including layout, tile placement, and adhesion. We’ll focus on thoughtful design and craftsmanship while keeping the vibe fun, approachable, and inspiring.

At the end of the session, you’ll take your vase home along with grout and instructions to complete the final finishing step on your own — allowing your adhesive to properly set before grouting.

This event is hosted at Greats of Crafts’ warehouse space in Long Island City, where guests will also have access to their extensive drink menu and food options throughout the evening. Grab a drink, settle in, and enjoy a creative night out surrounded by community.

No prior experience is necessary. All skill levels are welcome.

Come create something beautiful — and leave with a functional piece of art you’ll be proud to display.
