Start your mornings writing with author Kate Feiffer. Two cozy sessions of creativity, journaling, coffee, and pastries.

Morning Pages & Creative Momentum: A Two-Day Writing Workshop with Kate Feiffer

Join us for a two-day morning writers workshop with acclaimed author, illustrator, and producer Kate Feiffer, centered on creativity, consistency, and getting unstuck on the page.

The workshop itself is FREE as Kate as so graciously offered this to our community! The fee is to cover cost of coffee, pastries and event space.

Inspired by Kate’s 2024 novel Morning Pages and the practice popularized by The Artist’s Way, this intimate workshop invites writers of all levels to explore journaling, creative flow, and the realities of making time to write in a full and complicated life. Over coffee and pastries, Kate will guide participants through prompts, discussion, and reflection designed to quiet the inner critic and build sustainable writing habits.

Set in the cozy morning atmosphere of Ridgway Bar & Grill, participants will enjoy coffee and pastries from beloved pastry chef Clifford, creating the perfect environment to write, think, and connect.

Whether you’re facing writer’s block, returning to the page after time away, or simply craving a dedicated creative morning, this workshop offers space, encouragement, and practical tools you can carry forward.

About the Author & Instructor: Kate Feiffer

Kate Feiffer has worked as a writer, illustrator, television and event producer, photo editor, and ice cream scooper. She is the author of eleven highly acclaimed books for children and the 2024 humorous novel Morning Pages. She is also the illustrator of the poetry/parody The Lamb Cycle.

Kate is the longtime event producer of the Martha’s Vineyard writers’ festival Islanders Write and a frequent contributor to the MV Times, Literary Hub, NPR, and more. Her artwork has been featured in multiple solo and group exhibitions, and her writing has earned regional journalism awards.

She divides her time between Martha’s Vineyard and New York City and is represented by Rosemary Stimola at Stimola Literary Studio.

About the Book: Morning Pages

Morning Pages is a witty, laugh-out-loud novel about creativity, caregiving, and the chaos of midlife. When a once-promising playwright turns to daily journaling to break through writer’s block, what emerges is a deeply relatable and humorous portrait of family, ambition, and the writing life—especially for those navigating the “sandwich generation.”
