Join us for our third annual MLK Day celebration. FREE and Open to the Public!

In the spirit of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s vision of justice, dignity, and beloved community, join us for a multigenerational afternoon of celebration, reflection, and action rooted in the arts.

This MLK Day program brings together music, storytelling, dance, and participatory workshops that invite all ages to listen deeply, move together, and imagine more just futures.

Pre-register for our special workshops of creativity, deed, and dialogue!

Program

10:00 Elder/youth dialogues about racial justice- workshop led by Writopia (with 12:30 story share) (Pre-Registration Required)

12:00-6:00pm MLK Day events for all ages with Deed Tables, crafts, snacks

12:00 - Family circle with songs, stories, and art (Social Hall)

1:00 Ethical Welcome with Ubuntu Dance Parade (Adler Hall)

1:30-3:00pm Concert: Every Voice Choir (Adler Hall)

2:30-3:30pm "I Have a Dream-ZINE" workshop/story circle (Social Hall) (Pre-Registration Required)

2:30-3:30pm Ubuntu Drum & Dance Workshop (Social Hall) (Pre-Registration Required)

3:15-4:30pm Ethical Voices Open Mike (Adler Hall)

4:30-5:30pm Workshop & Performance: Songs for Racial Justice (Adler Hall)

5:30pm MLK Birthday Cake (Lobby)
