Middle-Earth Strategy Battle Game - Singles Tournament

Welcome to the Middle-earth Strategy Battle Singles Tournament! New players and experienced commanders are all more than welcome. This will be a 24-player event where both Good and Evil Heroes will lead their warbands into battle across Middle-earth, however, only one force can claim overall victory!

Please note:

• Players are required to bring a copy of the Middle-earth™ Strategy Battle Game Matched Play Guide to the tournament.
• Some games may be Good vs Good or Evil vs Evil based on scoring.

Overview

A 3-round, 700-point, Middle-earth Strategy Battle Game one-day tournament, using the latest rules.

Tickets

£15 - only through Eventbrite.

Timing

Each round has a duration of 2 hours, with a 15 minute break in between Round 2 and 3.

• Registration: 11:30 to 12:00
• Round 1: 12:00 -14:00
• Lunch: 14:00 - 14:45
• Round 2: 14:50 - 16:50
• Break: 16:50 - 17:05
• Round 3: 17:05 - 19:05
• Prizes & Clear Up: 19:15 - 19:45

Rules and What to Bring

We will be using the latest published rules, army books, and any available expansion books.

An event pack will be provided closer to the day, with information about the scenarios and other key details and requirements to prepare for the day. As well as the link to the scoring system used on Longshanks.

Army Lists will be due on 27th February, please email them to events@waylandgames.co.uk and they will be passed on to our official TO, Joshua.

Please bring:

• Your 700-point force of good or evil. Proxy models will be permitted with prior consent. Only proxies that clearly represent the models they are replacing will be allowed (all models must reasonably represent all wargear and equipment).
• A copy of the Middle-earth™ Strategy Battle Game Matched Play Guide
• A copy of the MESBG rulebook and any required army books or supplements.Dice and tape measure.

Prizes and Awards

Prizes will be supplied through Wayland Games. Prizes will be finalised closer to the time but the following has been provisionally agreed upon:

• First Prize: Trophy and £20 store credit*
• Second Prize: £10 store credit*
• Third Prize: £5 store credit*
• Wooden Spoon: Well a wooden spoon of course…

*Store credit is for use on waylandgames.co.uk and will be added to your account within 3 working days of the event ending. You must supply the TO with your Wayland Games account email address in order for this to be processed.

📍 How to find us: We’re a 30-minute walk from West Horndon station, and just off the A127, making us easy to reach by car or public transport.

💳 Payments

• Food purchases are card only.
• Cash and card are accepted for in-store products.

🍽️ Food & Allergens: Outside food is not permitted.

• We cater for most allergens and dietary requirements, and allergen information will be clearly displayed on the menus.

🚗 Parking: Parking is available outside the store on a first-come, first-served basis.

🎮 Age Policy

• No children under the age of 18 years will be admitted to the Centre unless accompanied and supervised by an adult aged 18 years or over. Wayland Games takes no responsibility for children under the age of 18, responsibility shall remain with the parent or guardian of the relevant child at all times.
• Accompanying adults do not need their own ticket for the Event if they intend to purely act in a supervisory role.

• All attendees must be in possession of a valid ticket upon registration.

• Event details and timings are subject to change and should be checked prior to travelling.

• Wayland Games may cancel or vary the Event (in whole or in part) due to events or circumstances beyond our control. Where we cancel the Event in its entirety, you will be offered a full refund. However, in all other circumstances (including where we make changes to the Event), you will not be offered a refund. This does not affect your statutory rights.

• Purchased tickets cannot be transferred or resold without the express permission of Wayland Games.

• Tickets can be refunded after purchase, as long as it is at least 7 days prior to the event taking place. This does not affect your statutory rights.
