Join us for an afternoon of stunning songs for women's voices. This will be a Spring concert you don't want to miss!

Spring Song presents a stylistically rich and emotionally varied choral program that blends contemporary works with global folk traditions and sacred repertoire, emphasizing lyricism, textual clarity, and cultural breadth. The concert weaves together intimate, reflective pieces such as Du bist die Ruh, Dirait-on, and Molitva with rhythmic and playful selections including Over Hill, Over Dale, Happy Land, and Flight, while drawing on multiple languages and traditions—from art song and modern choral writing to folk music of the British Isles, Japan, and Indonesia through works like Sakura, Dago Inang Sarge, and The Parting Glass. Sacred pillars such as Canticle to the Spirit and the Magnificat and Nunc Dimittis balance secular storytelling, and the program is carefully paced to move from introspection to vitality and communal warmth. Altogether, Spring Song portrays the choir as musically sophisticated, culturally curious, and deeply expressive, prioritizing emotional resonance and narrative connection over sheer virtuosity.

Conducted by Artistic Director Cynthia Powell
