This dual exhibition features the work of two contemporary regional artists - Sarah Rodriguez and SLiNK Love

Join us on Friday, March 13th to celebrate the opening of our 2026 spring exhibition, Materials Reclaimed. This dual exhibition, featuring the work of Sarah Rodriguez and SLiNK Love will run at The Gallery at Studeō PAR- from March 13th - May 23rd.

This exhibition brings together two mix-media artists whose practices converge through a shared commitment to reclaimed materials and layered transformation. Working with salvaged objects - broken off furniture, textiles and trash - each artists reimagines what has been overlooked, embedding new meaning into discarded objects. By recontextualizing materials, the work becomes a site of reflection on identity, relationship and personal narrative with distinct aesthetic approaches.

Doors open at 6:00pm. Both artists will be present and refreshments will be provided.

And save the date for our Artist Talk on Saturday, April 4th. Tickets.

About the artists:

Sarah Rodriguez (b.1992) is a mixed media artist and educator in Cincinnati, OH.She received her M.F.A from Miami University (2017) and B.F.A from Wright State University (2014). She is currently an Academic Advisor for Art & Design at Northern Kentucky University and recipient of The ArtsWave Black & Brown Program: Truth & Innovation Grant.

Her work is an archive of tangible memories, investigating themes of identity, kinship and belonging. Using images of everyday life she weaves together pieces of nature, place, and objects, crafting narratives that radiate the deep human desire for connection.Embracing the feminine and intentionality of craft, she employs a variety of materials and techniques.

"My practice, much like tending to a yard or home, is rooted in tradition and emphasizes tactility. In my search for meaning, I study the profound within the everyday—objects embedded with history, places laced with knowledge, and the chaotic beauty of the natural world."

SLiNK Love is an abolitionist and fine artist based in Cincinnati, OH. SLiNK receved an MFA from UC DAAP in 2024 and has curated, directed and shown in dozens of international and underground installations and activations.

"As an Abolitionist, i stand in solidarity with my ancestors and have made it my life's work to bring form to alternatives to Imperialist notions of “waste”, and the demoralizing phenomenon of disposability and cancel culture. i pull from my life experiences in every capacity - emotional, impulsive, romanticized, "boring daily tasks", body fluids/pieces, my ever changing environments and interactions - all of my life is part of my work. We ( i, and my work), argue that a lowercase “i” lifestyle would lead to a society built on a slow ontology; and thus a truly abundant life for All beings and the planet."
