The Henry Royce Institute is hosting an one‑day showcase exploring the growing role of Artificial Intelligence in materials science on Thursday 19 March in Manchester.
The emerging concept of Materials 4.0, in which digital methods are embedded to accelerate the discovery, design, manufacturing and lifecycle management of materials, is a key opportunity to accelerate materials impact. AI will be vital tool to deliver this step‑change across all areas of the materials value chain.
The event will bring together academia, research organisations and industry to highlight current capabilities, share best practice and explore future opportunities for the application of AI in materials science. The programme will feature invited speakers alongside opportunities for short, contributed talks.
The programme will feature keynote talks from invited speakers alongside selected short contributed presentations.
Additional speakers to be announced.
We are inviting additional speakers to contribute short presentations as part of the showcase programme.
If you are working at the intersection of AI and materials science including research, industrial applications, best practice, or emerging developments; we encourage you to submit a proposal.
How it works:
Successful applicants will be offered a short presentation slot within the programme.
This is an excellent opportunity to share cutting-edge research and innovation, highlight practical applications and case studies, contribute to best practice in AI-enabled materials science, and showcase your work to a large academic and industry network
Date: Thursday 19 March
