In this workshop, you’ll create two finished kitchen pieces — a wooden spoon and a small cutting board — while exploring two different ways to burn a design into wood.
We’ll start with the spoon, working slowly and intentionally with a traditional wood burning tool. This is steady, focused work, building your design line by line.
Then we’ll move to the cutting board, using a stencil and wood burning gel. The design is activated with a heat gun, and watching it darken and appear feels like a small reveal every time.
We’ll begin with a short safety overview and a little practice before moving into your final pieces.
You’ll leave with:
• One hand-burned wooden spoon
• One stenciled cutting board
• A good understanding of two different wood burning techniques
Visitors are welcome to bring snacks and drinks.
