THE SLOW GROOVE KINGS

A smoky, hypnotic blend of Southern soul, dive-bar drama, and late-night mysticism based in Cleveland, Ohio. Equal parts sermon and séance, the Kings paint a fever-dream, a stumble into a velvet-draped dive bar where the house band plays slow-burning hymns for the damned, daring them to raise their glasses.

Led by frontman and songwriter Brett Potts, the Kings owe their anthemic sound to guitarist Tim Parnin, their trance-like bass backing to Chris Nunnari, and their dynamic and haunting drum work to Zach Horstman. Autumn Skye adds a vocal element that is sweet, yet startlingly powerful. In a concerted collection, Slow Groove Kings serve up a smoky, hypnotic blend of Southern soul, dive-bar drama, and late-night mysticism.

With the band’s debut album “The Nashville Vampire Supper Club,” they don’t just serve songs — they set a table. And whether you leave baptized or bitten, you're staying 'til the last note fades.

Musically, the EP walks a fine line between groove and grit — drawing comparisons to Pixies, Mazzy Star, Johnny Cash, the National’s somber catalog. It’s sparse but cinematic, with smoky guitar licks, pulsing basslines, and vocals plucked from between the crumbling sidewalk cracks.
