Teaching on one of the most beloved and oft-recited prayers in the Kagyu tradition of Tibetan Buddhism.

Teaching on the Mahamudra Lineage Prayer - With Lama Tsultrim Guelek from Bodhicharya France

Sunday the 19th of April, 10:00am - 5:00pm GMT - Bodhicharya UK Centre in Rochester

The Mahamudra Lineage Prayer - "Dorjechang Tungma"

One of the most beloved and oft-recited prayers in the Kagyu tradition of Tibetan Buddhism, The Mahamudra Lineage Prayer combines a supplication to the Mahamudra lineage with a concise guide to Mahamudra practice and the stages of the path to Enlightenment.

With his great skill of being able to make the teachings understandable, accessible and applicable to the western mind and way of life, Lama Tsultrim will unpack the breadth and depth of the teachings contained within the prayer and explain their significance on the path to Awakening.

H.H. 17th Karmapa Orgyen Trinley Dorje composed a beautiful tune that one can recite this prayer to, which we shall also learn and practice together on this retreat under the guidance of Lama Tsultrim, who is also a classically trained singer.

Lama Tsultrim Guelek was born in 1955 in Grenoble, France and began began studying the Dharma in 1983 as a disciple of Venerable Kalu Rinpoche and Bokar Rinpoche. In 1987 he was ordained by Kalu Rinpoche and became a novice monk (getsul). After a traditional 3-year, 3-month, 3-day retreat between 1988 and 1992, he became a fully ordained monk (gelong). With Bokar Rinpoche’s blessing and permission he has been leading meditation groups since 1995. He currently lives and teaches at the Bodhicharya France centre in Lusse and also teaches in several other cities once a month.
