Machine Knitting Mini-Camp: Knitweave Placemat; OR Picot Edge Socks

Knit a table runner or placemat (or a Picot Edge Sock) using a knitting machine. We provide the yarn, pattern and instruction. Bring a knitting machine or use one of our shop machines. Little to no experience is necessary. You will go home with a finished project. Several yarn color choices will be available.

We will use a standard or bulky Brother or Silver Reed/Studio knitting machine in class. For those bringing a machine: a ribber is not necessary. If you are bringing a machine we will take some time at the beginning of class to make sure everything is in working order, but repairs will not be done in class.

For those not bringing a machine we will have a Silver Reed or Brother machine to use.

Mini-Camp is a one day Knitting Machine experience for members of Central Minnesota Fiber Arts & Machine Knitting Guild. When space allows, we open the class to the general public. Central MN Fiber Arts & MK Guild meets on the 1st Saturday of each month, 1:30-4:00. The meeting includes fellowship, show-and-tell, and a short demo. Participants do not bring a machine to the meeting. Mini-Camp is an opportunity to bring a machine to knit and learn with other members.
